O Gallery is pleased to present the third solo show of Omid Bazmandegan (b. 1976 Shiraz) with the gallery. The recurring theme in Bazmandegan's work is the urban life and its associated landscapes. His works, quite simple -albeit mystifyingly- are based on the artist's feelings about space and life at a specific moment, and do not necessarily seek to make any statements. In other words, his work is more about representing the artist's feelings in a particular moment rather than the real world, and ultimately, what makes his work different is the capture of moments that other people may easily overlook; for instance, the reflection of light on a billboard on a road or the moving branches in the breeze. The flowing sensation and simplicity in Bazmandegan's work is an element that quickly mesmerizes the viewer, regardless of the absence or presence of figures in his paintings
