Donya Aalipour at "Touch Nature"

May 27, 2026

The Austrian Cultural Forum London presents the international multimedia group exhibition "Touch Nature" curated by Dr. Sabine Fellner. Since 2021, the exhibition series has travelled to fourteen Austrian Cultural Forums worldwide, including Berlin, Budapest, Istanbul, Rome and New York, as well as the Lentos Museum in Linz, Upper Austria. In this edition, AG18 Gallery hosts the final instalment and has invited nineteen artists including Donya Aalipour (b. 1995 Tehran), represented by O Gallery.

The artists featured in "Touch Nature" take a stand against the devastating political, economic, ecological and humanitarian impact of the Anthropocene. They not only document their grievances and formulate resistance but also design utopias for a more respectful approach to our environment. The exhibition addresses the economic exploitation of landscapes, increasing soil sealing, the global repercussions of current consumer behaviour, the spread of epidemics and the consequences of colonialism. At the same time, it encourages a change of perspective and opens up hopeful visions for a new relationship between mankind and nature.

Armin Ebrahimi’s (b. 1984 Tehran) work “Egoista”, from the series “Party of Donkeys” is presented in the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale as part of an installation curated by Chiara Camoni. The installation explores a dialogue between individual practices within a shared spatial and conceptual framework, where Ebrahimi’s piece is integrated into Camoni’s larger structure designed to receive and activate multiple works in relation to one another.
