O Gallery presents “A Remembrance of Fallen Leaves”, a collection of works by Boyeh Sadatnia (b. 1981 Tehran), marking the artist’s second solo show with the gallery. Boyeh Sadatniaa’s work focuses on the construction of narratives experienced both mentally and physically by the artist. The exhibition offers myriad ways for sharing doubts and hopes for the future by underlining the integrated composition of life; from addressing similarities between mountains and ruins as solid forms that adapt to temporal rhythms in the course of their decay, to breaking the conventional rectangular frames, offering a refreshing break from the flood of outrageous stories of the past years in the form of delicately subtle sensibilities. The work on the collection began two years ago when the artist spent more time in nature and started to pay more attention to the act of drawing itself; the colors, their juxtapositions, and the forms he created, free of any figures with a focus solely on landscapes. The works tell of the everyday life and dreams of the artist, while also representing his return to nature and a new understanding of it.
