Bio
Rasoul Akbarlou (b. 1985 Khoy) received his Master’s degree in painting from Art University of Tehran in 2014. His artistic practice focuses on landscapes, still life and portraits; exploring the everyday experiences of humans. These subjects are deeply personal, yet universally relatable, capturing the delicate and fleeting moments that define life.
Women figures have a dominant presence in Akbarlou’s works, often serving as central subjects through which he delves into themes of identity and emotion. His medium of choice is oil, allowing him to create a repetitive structure and disciplined approach, integral to his process, contributing to the depth and richness of his work.
Throughout his career, Akbarlou’s teaching has had a strong influence on the structure of his art, guiding the development of his unique vision.
