In this edition of The Window Project, a collection of three photos, titled “Landscape” by Reza Mirzaei (b. 1986 Tehran, Iran) is on display.
In this project, Reza Mirzaei shows three new photographs that, similar to his recent works, engage the tension between abstraction and figuration, between aesthetic contemplation and documentary witness. Mirzaei's landscapes are not refuges, nor are they scenes that directly reference legible social or political realities; rather, they evade signification through the very process of their dissolution into abstraction.
