O Gallery presents "Shazdeh's Garden" a collection of recent paintings by Saeed Khaleghi (b. 1989 Kerman).
The starting point of the collection on display for Saeed Khaleghi was paintings of Kerman desert at night; a process that resulted in a series of studies on the relationship between space and elements of nature at night with an emphasis on the evolved perception of forms and colors of plants, trees and other natural elements in a dark environment. The study started with paintings made under natural light and continued by applying artificial light on different types of plants and exploring the effect of light and color on nature at night. In this process, Khaleghi puts his priority not on objectivity and representation, but on the establishment of a genuine connection between color pallets and different lights.
