O Gallery presents "Purification", a collection of recent paintings by Roghayeh Najdi (b. 1982 Tabriz).
In the cycle of human life and with the passage of time, the purification of events causes countless states, reactions, transformations and even immersion in other dimensions. Events lingering in the back of our mind -both tangible and intangible- affect the course of our lives; and over time, become detached from their original nature, taking on a different meaning.
In continuation of her previous series and by addressing the common concerns of her generation, in these recent paintings, the artist has chosen the events of her backgrounds so that to create a vague sense of reality through calling for various psychological responses in the viewer.
In Roghayeh Najdi's paintings, the purification of events has merged with the present: sometimes like a mist in space and sometimes like a dream in the background, and through this transformation, the purification prepares itself for a new cycle.
