O Gallery presents “Pressed” a collection of chalcography works by Abbas Mirzaei (b. 1979 Isfahan), in collaboration with Emrooz Gallery.
With the initial idea of crushing objects to use them as his print cliché, the artist has studied different methods to express the natural states of each object since 2016. In the collection on display, through metaphorically addressing the difficulties of everyday life, Mirzaei has achieved a vivid and dynamic expression of objects that represents the new existential concepts that emerge after each difficulty, with a hidden though familiar tone.
