The collection on display is in continuation of Omatali’s previous collections, reflecting her feelings towards the details of her surroundings, mostly a small shear of space around her, depicted from unusual angles. The reflection of objects on glass surfaces, diffractions and refractions, the form of shadows, magnifications and etc., put her work on the edge of reality and abstraction, and add to the audience’s curiosity to decode the objects represented. Empiricism has always played an important role in the creation of Omatali’s works and in the course of her previous works, by using different techniques, instruments and a variety of colors and shades of gray, she creates works with distinctive visual quality.
