O Gallery presents "Coating", a collection of paintings by Homa Abdollahi (b. 1986 Tehran).
Following the change of environment through constant journeys and moves in her life, Homa Abdollahi has always been interested in the relationship between humans and the environment and their efforts and interactions to protecting it. With the focus on structure at times and on nature at other times, these efforts and interactions have shaped the main axis of her work.
In continuation to her previous collection, where the ceiling was used as a structure to protect, in the current collection, she has focused on the constant human interaction with materials to preserve and maintain the living environment.
Homa Abdollahi considers coating* as a ritual of care for the living environment.
*Coating means a layer spread over a surface, used for protection.
