Azin Zolfaghari

Azin Zolfaghari (b. 1982 Neyshabur) has received her BFA and MFA in Painting. “Home” is an entirely personal notion for her, going far beyond a mere place of residence. Themes such as decadence, depravation, and isolation can be traced in her works, in both personal and collective contexts. She was the winner of the Sovereign Asian Art Prize in 2022, appearing a year later as its jury member. Her works have been included in several festivals, group exhibitions, and auctions, including Mohammad Siyah Qalam Award in 2022, the 2^nd Grand Prize of Iranian Contemporary Painting in the Iranian Artists’ Forum in 2024, and the 18^th Tehran Auction in 2023. Azin Zolfaghari lives and works in Karaj.
