Omid Mehdizadeh

Omid Mehdizadeh (b. 1984 Tehran) is a photo-based artist whose practice uses photography as a means of articulating his concepts through gradual and material-driven processes. Each of his projects develops over several years, from photographing to printing and intervening on unconventional surfaces. Through physical alteration and experimentation with materials, he approaches photography as both image and object. Mehdizadeh has held eleven solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Iran, Germany and UAE.
